A second run to another fourth place in three days puts Johnny solidly in third in the points chase. Just four markers behind Mike Rowe in second, the #54 trials leader Scott Chubbuck by twenty-two points.

Johnny had hoped for a bit more speed during the race at White Mountain but had enough to move up from a mid-pack starting position to the front runners.
